APART / CONNECTED

CHRONICALLY ONLINE

i take a trip to another world from my room

on my desk, i talk with multiple people
throwing jokes
dumping traumas
bonding
from places so distant
yet so familiar.

on my bed, i watch people from my screen
like it’s the sidewalk
listing down interesting actions
taking notes of fresh jokes
for tomorrow’s dish at the picnic
i will hold from my room
as they attend from theirs.

bring your own food
spill your preferred tea
and again, we will take a trip
to the same other world
from our separate rooms.

maybe i won’t leave this place
‘cause i have found
my safe space.

I AM ALWAYS HERE, VIRTUALLY

i can see you aching
behind the blank black pic

let me click on that tiny heart
to let you know
i am always here
virtually
one click away
from a conversation
you have been holding back
take your time to prepare
find me when you’re ready

take your time,
take your space
as i will start to
make the time and space
for a soul so brave,
so raw, yet so real

WYD

wyd? and no, this is
not a drunk text
nor an invitation
to hook up. i just
wanna know if you
are up. in the am,
most people are asleep
the one place to be is
here
digitally
hoping that someone
is as wide awake as i am

wyd? start a conversation
distract my busy mind
help me count sheep
react to my thirst trap
and realize
how dehydrated
we are in the real world
we chug attention
digitally

wdyt?
