Social media platforms, especially dating apps, provide a space to express and perform one’s sexuality. However, this space also leads to constant questioning around the legitimacy of that sexuality, often disturbing a person’s inner peace.

This illustration is inspired by that tension. On the right, the mirror reflects one’s sexuality as self-understood and affirmed. On the left, it is questioned through a focus on physical attributes that align with so-called heteronormative bodily features. Yet, there is always a way to respond to these intrusive questions and disrupt such stereotypes.
