Hidden Costs of Promiscuity

with title from Love, Nina (BBC One, 2016)

Salt water jostles my epiglottis
Has been now for fifteen days
and counting, as I gargle away the
itch in the tonsils accompanying
this persistent flu. Which now
sniffing crossly, I trace back to
that wet, passionate kiss

Volition

Need ploughs through a field
Over the crop of yield: beliefs
it had taken years to grow
