Public Education

TARSHI has conducted various public education activities independently and in partnership with other NGOs to create a broader public understanding about women’s rights, sexuality, sexual and reproductive health and gender-based violence through public events, publications, campaigns, and sessions in schools and colleges.

Publications stalls have been set up/ organised in the following places - The Kukdukoo Children's Literature Festival, Weekend Book Bazar by National Book Trust, 3rd IJME National Bioethics Conference (NBC 3), Bharti College (University of Delhi), the 6th Asia Pacific Conference on Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights (APCRSHR) and at the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK)  launch event at New Delhi, India.

Along with the book stall, we also organised interactive activities like a story board, postcard making, clay art and interactive quiz based games at various colleges including Ambedkar University, Delhi, NGO Mela at Kamala Nehru College, and ‘10 Years in 10 Days - A Festival That Celebrates Youth-Led Social Change In India’ by The YP Foundation.

Our daily activities on social media - via Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are a great means to creatively engage with online audiences. A popular addition to our education and advocacy support work is our eMagazine ‘In Plainspeak’ which brings together an eclectic mesh of articles, images, art and videos.
