TARSHI organises and hosts online and offline events, panels and webinars independently and in collaboration with various civil society organisations and educational institutions to strengthen narratives on SRHR, CSE and SISA spaces. The events we organise are also an attempt to locate TARSHI’s work in larger conversations around sexuality, SRHR, and wellbeing, with a special focus on bringing in intersections (SOGIESC, disability, caste and religion) and nuance. Examples from our recent events:
Instagram Live and Tweet Chats:
- Tweetchat on SRHR with social sector organisations capturing learnings, experiences and challenges in working with young people on SRHR.
- Instagram Live with sexuality content creators on navigating the digital spaces when disseminating content on sexuality amidst the barrage of disinformation and misinformation.
- Instagram Live with activists on the learnings, experiences and challenges NGOs face while working with young people on SRHR and human rights.
Webinars
- Beyond the Here and Now: The Changing Contours of Masculinities and Sexuality: An In Plainspeak webinar exploring the diverse expressions, expectations and experiences of masculinities in relation to sexuality.
- Consultation session on Sexuality Education in Schools with teachers and educators from across the country.
- Queering as a Way of Life: An In Plainspeak webinar exploring what queering is all about with a focus on disability and sexuality.
- Inclusion and Intersection at the NGO Workplace: Where Are We?: Launch of TARSHI’s report on Safe, Inclusive and Self-Affirming Workplaces in the Social Sector.
