TARSHI marks important international and national days on gender, sexuality and SRHR and actively participates in global awareness-raising campaigns on related topics through perspective-strengthening posts on social media platforms, and participates in events hosted by peer organisations to express our solidarity. TARSHI has worked actively in the area of Comprehensive Sexuality Education and regularly campaigns for self-affirming and rights-based conversations on CSE in schools.
TARSHI also provides support to other organisations and is part of networks and coalitions that work towards a common goal of achieving and ensuring human rights for all, such as on rights for LGBTQIA+ people, against domestic violence and against gender-based violence in public spaces.
We are also members of the following networks:
- Aman: Global Voices for Peace in the Home, a network of 160 organisations to address and prevent violence against women.
- Indian Network for Sexual Health Education and Advocacy (INSHEA) for educators and activists in the field of sexuality education.
As the digital world is rapidly growing, TARSHI believes that creating a presence online for foregrounding conversations and information on sexuality is critical. Digital media also helps us to connect with a larger audience, especially young people. We put our daily activities of TARSHI, perspectives and information related to SRHR, CSE and SISA – via Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and LinkedIn. A popular aspect of our awareness and outreach support work is our digital platform In Plainspeak, which brings together an eclectic mesh of writing on various topics related to sexuality.
