{"id":24092,"date":"2023-01-03T10:26:34","date_gmt":"2023-01-03T04:56:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tarshi.net\/inplainspeak\/?p=24092"},"modified":"2023-01-03T11:08:47","modified_gmt":"2023-01-03T05:38:47","slug":"extra-large-anthology-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tarshi.net\/inplainspeak\/extra-large-anthology-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra Large"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c<em>Large will not fit you.<\/em>\u201d<br \/>She is scoping me, up and down, eyes<br \/>Flicking fast and darting away<br \/>From the roundness of my breasts<br \/>To the happy jiggle of my thighs.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTry extra-large instead.\u201d<br \/><\/em>The advice stings like a cut<br \/>Dripping with salty sweat<br \/>Burning with shame inside<br \/>Because everything is too big.<br \/>The jiggle is obscene.<\/p>\n<p>But in the mirror, critically<br \/>Watching everything big,<br \/>Large, extra large, massive,<br \/>Assessing all that hugeness<br \/>With blazing eyes and firm chin<br \/>I find a clue.<\/p>\n<p>Every day, I negotiate<br \/>With the curves and valleys of<br \/>My hips and breasts with clothes<br \/>To minimize, exalt, prettify.<\/p>\n<p>Little compromises.
