Tonight,<\/p>\n

lying dry and tepid in interested arms,<\/p>\n

I am thinking of your fingers on me.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Alchemy
\n<\/strong>
\nDay-old pork curry<\/p>\n

a deepening<\/p>\n

No longer new and tart<\/p>\n

love. Pang of distance cut<\/p>\n

by the mellowing knowledge:<\/p>\n

it exists, alchemy<\/p>\n

We fit<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Third date
\n<\/strong>
\nWalking with this Nehru Jacket-clad gent<\/p>\n

at whose remarks<\/p>\n

I laugh a little too readily<\/p>\n

I wonder in the pauses<\/p>\n

What is it that binds two people?<\/p>\n

No amount of theory will do<\/p>\n

or literature<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How is it that amid so much dissonance<\/p>\n

you and I sync, if only<\/p>\n

at a particular pitch<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Maybe soon I\u2019ll know<\/p>\n

better his eccentricities<\/p>\n

How he likes to be touched<\/p>\n

and the noises he makes<\/p>\n

He said \u2018tender\u2019 today<\/p>\n

in such a way<\/p>\n

I thought<\/p>\n

I\u2019d definitely like him saying<\/p>\n

dirty things to me<\/p>\n

That voice rasping<\/p>\n

Time and attention<\/p>\n

is that it?<\/p>\n

Love?<\/p>\n

As of now I\u2019m still tearing up<\/p>\n

thinking of your face<\/p>\n

tucked into the crook of my neck when we sleep<\/p>\n
