But alas, when it comes to the characters themselves, this very inclusivity is often nowhere to be found. There\u2019s a distinct lack of female superheroes, queer superheroes, non-cis and non-white superheroes in popular mainstream comicbooks, and<a href=\"https:\/\/everydayfeminism.com\/2016\/12\/representation-in-comics\/\"> <em>Representation in Comics<\/em> by Everyday Feminism<\/a> highlights how direly we need more diversity.
