Campaign Corner: International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia

May 17 marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia – a day to stand for love and freedom and against hatred.

To celebrate the existence of queer, trans and non-binary people across India, here’s a three-week long online campaign (from May 14th-June 1st). The campaign includes producing content surrounding three interconnected aspects: a video series (‘Life, actually’), on the lived experiences of being queer in India; a push to kill the 2016 Trans Bill; and a recognition of alliances for solidarity (the official global IDAHOBIT theme for the year).

It’s a no logo campaign, with multiple ‘hosts’, that any individual or organisation can participate in. Keep an eye out for #IDAHOBIT2018 content and reach out to idahobit2018@gmail.com if you want to get involved.
