In 2002, UNAIDS chose TARSHI as one of four helplines worldwide to illustrate Best Practice criteria for helplines. The four helplines illustrated principles that make helplines successful in providing HIV/AIDS information and counselling, the challenges they face, and the creative approaches that are used to meet these challenges.
